Edward Shaffer recently joined PCG Consulting, bringing with him ten years of automotive internet sales experience. Edward is a 1993 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Business Management. His prior experience was in the Hospitality industry, most notably as General Manager with Jason’s Deli Inc. from 1994-1997. He is married to his wife Julie of 11+ years, has three school age children and recently relocated to the Atlanta, GA area.
Edward got his start in the car business selling new vehicles with Park Place Lexus in Grapevine, Texas in October of 2002. He spent time on the sales floor and transitioned into the Internet Department in the summer of 2003. During his time at Lexus he received the New Car Sales Consultant of the year award in both 2004 and 2005, holding the dealership record for most vehicles delivered in a single month and achieving Master Certification with Lexus. As the Lexus Internet Sales Manager he is credited with crafting the internet sales process system now used throughout Park Place Dealerships and moved into the Internet Business Development Manager role in the summer of 2007 to implement that process across their 8 rooftops and 13 luxury import brands.
As the IBDM for Park Place Dealerships, Edward gained experience in many areas, including Websites, Vehicle Merchandising, SEO, SEO and Reputation Management, though his primary focus has always been on Internet Sales Process. Utilizing techniques developed during his tenure as a beginning-to-end process sales consultant, as well as those learned by attending numerous industry conferences, he is passionately dedicated to helping dealers improve. He is also a member of the AutoTrader Dealer Advisory Board, the Edmunds.com Dealer Council and a frequent poster on various automotive forums (username “eddyshaf”). Edward continues the direction brought by the other members here at PCG Consulting with a conviction that achieving success is accomplished by providing the highest level of customer service…not only to our clients, but to their customers and future customers as well!
