Michael Lizza joined PCG Consulting in September of 2012, bringing with him 5 years of automotive sales experience. Michael is a Long Island, NY native that now calls Long Branch, NJ home. A graduate with honors from Monmouth University, Michael holds a BA in Marketing and IT. His first entry into the automotive industry was selling Audis with Audi of Manhattan. The energy and culture of the city paired with an incredible product made this position an instant passion. While working with Audi of Manhattan, Michael held the position as top salesperson consistently each month. He represented the brand at the Audi Park Ave. forum located in Manhattan, NY and worked to promote the brand annually at the New York International Auto Show.
Michael was then promoted within the auto group to become the New Car Sales Manager for the #2 Honda dealership in the country. Delivering between 450 and 600 vehicles a month, Michael quickly perfected his sales skills and focused his attention on the small details that keep those types of numbers going. While with Honda, Michael learned the importance of operating a well-staffed and properly trained BDC department. As a dealer that processes so many clients daily, it was vitally important to be on top of all incoming and existing leads in order to maintain the #1 spot in the zone and #2 position in the country.
As a team, Michael and his employees developed a program to help current Honda owners trade out of their vehicles early and place them into a new or pre-owned vehicle at little or no out of pocket expense to them. This program generated excellent gross profits, while building and protecting the dealership’s client base dramatically during a time where recent natural disasters would have otherwise severely hurt the business. Michael promotes that maintaining a positive attitude and embracing change is the key to success in this market.
As a person with a true passion for European luxury vehicles, Michael accepted a position with a prestigious Mercedes-Benz dealership in Bergen County New Jersey. While with Mercedes-Benz, Michael immediately recognized and embraced the importance of Data Mining software. Using several industry tools, he was able to consistently generate high levels of income from a virtually non-existent personal customer base. Michael knew that starting fresh with a new brand, in a new area would require him to think creatively to generate business. Working closely with a very well run BDC and management team, Michael was able to Data Mine to generate immediate results.
Michael is excited to be part of the PCG Consulting team and is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with dealerships in helping take their business to the next level. Michael looks forward to meeting with some of the many industry professionals, and using his experience to both understand needs as well as implement process and change to meet them.
